Primary Principal Pupils

Matthew

Hello and welcome to The Gatwick School, I am Matthew, one of the 2 Principal Pupils of the primary phase of The Gatwick School. I am proud to be a Principal Pupil and to be able to help, listen to and support my peers as well as the younger years.

As a Principal Pupil, it’s important to make sure the younger students feel understood and part of a safe, honest, supportive and fun environment: One of the key responsibilities of a principle pupil is to take outcomes from student council meetings to the school’s senior leadership team to ensure the student voice is heard, this is one of the most important parts of my role and one which I enjoy.

I also enjoy activities such as planning fundraising events such as cake sales, non-school-uniform days and fairs and helping with any improvements we can make in the school.

I had always thought as a young child that school would be a boring place that would be no fun but as soon as I joined school I was proven wrong and ever since I have loved learning and think that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to have a good education and be able to use it. This is one of the reasons I am proud to be Principal Pupil, as The Gatwick School is a silver rights-respecting school.

I have been at this school for nearly seven years now and I have grown and developed so much, I look forward to welcoming you to share these amazing opportunities.

Hello I am Eliza and I am proud to be one of this years Principle Pupils

I have been on the student council for a number of years and as Principle Pupil I want to help  TGS achieve the gold award for being a rights respecting school.

I am really enjoying attending weekly SLT meetings and providing feedback from the student council team aswell as all class views, opinions and ideas.

I am passionate about reading and my mission this year is to develop the library, to provide a wider range of books for all ages.

I love to dance and sing and have been in the last three TGS musicals and can’t wait for this year’s School of Rock performance  as it is one of my favourite musicals .

I have enjoyed my time at TGS and am looking forward to help the school move forward in the future.
